Tuition & Fees

Students are charged per credit hour up to 14 hours; any credit accumulation of 15 hours or more will be charged a flat tuition rate.

Financial Aid

Students who need assistance in paying for summer school can work with the Office of Student Financial Aid to secure funds for financing their education. Full Details »

HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships

As in previous years, students can use the HOPE Scholarship to help pay for summer classes. Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Financial Aid is NOT required for students applying for HOPE and Zell Miller scholarships, but completion of the FAFSA form is required for students applying for federal student financial aid such as Federal Pell Grants, Federal Work Study and Federal Direct Student Loans. Students who already have a GSFApps Application on file are not required to complete a new one. Additional information about financial aid can be found on the Office of Student Financial Aid website.

Housing

Live on campus! Living on campus allows you to be a part of an active and fun community that enhances your overall university experience. On-campus housing in Reed Hall is available to UGA students enrolled in at least one course per summer session in 2013.

Grab a bite to eat! UGA Food Services offers a healthy variety of food options during summer sessions in three convenient locations. Bolton, Snelling and The Village Summit at Joe Frank Harris Commons will be open during summer 2013.

Parking

Park your car! If you bring your car to campus, whether you are commuting or living on campus, you’ll need to get a parking permit. Maymester and summer session permits are available after spring permits have expired and may be purchased in the UGA Parking Services office on the first floor of Joe Frank Harris Commons.

Transportation

Hop aboard! Campus Transit makes it easy to get around campus. Daytime and evening bus services are available on a slightly reduced schedule from the academic year, with no overnight or weekend service.

Tutoring

Get a little help with your classes! The Academic Resource Center, located in Milledge Hall behind Sanford Stadium, hosts a vast number of resources for students, including free tutoring, test review sessions, counseling, and academic assistance. These services are free, convenient, and offered year-round.

Legion Pool

Take a dip! Legion Pool is conveniently located at the heart of campus on Lumpkin Street across from the Tate Student Center. The 75-by-160-foot pool is the perfect place to relax and study between classes or join your friends for water volleyball. Legion Pool is open May 23-July 13.
